Terry Allan, Blown Cover’s bassist, started playing music in Seattle with the Accents. The group played in multiple venues, including the Target ballroom, Parker’s ballroom, the Spanish Castle, and the Seattle Center arena. Terry then moved to Bellingham, Washington, to attend WWSU, where he played with the Unusuals, a house band for several local college bars. After graduating, Terry moved to Vancouver and, after a break from music to raise a family and establish a career, he resumed playing bass with Plan-B. He later joined with the Large Louie Blues Band, Nicole Cooper, the Walter Guy Trio, Friends of Zack, and then with Walker Smith. Terry now holds down the bottom end for Blown Cover.
Nikki Bye has been making music her entire life, starting at the piano with her church and school choir. With a minor in vocal performance and a background in musical theater, she blends formal training with a love of big hooks and sing-along moments. Versatile and lightly theatrical, she’s a natural entertainer. By day, Nikki is a kindergarten teacher and the creator of the educational album Rock to Read. Onstage, she keeps the vibe fun, nostalgic, and joyful.
Mark Ireland started self-instructed guitar playing at the age of 14, jamming with his younger sister, Robin, a singer-songwriter and drummer. In the 1990’s, Mark began writing songs and, in 2012, joined Rocktonic, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based rock band. In 2014, Rocktonic released the album What the Doctor Ordered, featuring four of Mark’s original songs: Long Night, A Change in Me, Beckoning Me, and Dream. In 2022, Mark released Paradigm Shift, an album with seven original songs, published under the name The Mark Ireland Experiment. Then in 2024, Mark joined Nikki Andres, Tom Hagley, and Terry Allen to form what is now Blown Cover. In late 2025, the four band members recorded Mark's new original song, Always There for You, released on January 1, 2026, under their alter ego name, The Mark Ireland Experiment.
Tom Hagley has played drums since fifth grade and brings a wide range of musical experience to the band. He studied under Steve Lawrence, longtime percussionist with the Oregon Symphony, and is a proud graduate of the Prairie High School music program under the direction of Al Aldridge. A Campbell Music Scholar at Whitman College, Tom also served on the college’s adjunct faculty, teaching percussion. Over the years, he has performed with a broad spectrum of ensembles, including the Walla Walla Symphony, the University of Georgia Jazz Lab Band, the Portland Brass Quintet, and numerous jazz combos and rock/pop groups. He has had the privilege of performing with many accomplished Northwest musicians, including David Glenn, John Stowell, Dick Simon, Michael Simon, Tom Simon, Michael Agidius, Bill Bogard, and JL Holmes. Following a 30-year career in public school administration, Tom now enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors, and continuing to make music.
